Heather L Denehy CPA PC is a full-service Accounting firm serving the tax, accounting and consulting needs of individuals and small businesses in the North Shore including Lynnfield, Peabody, Beverly, Salem, Saugus, Woburn and more. We strive to attain the perfect balance between small, local, attentive service and professional experience and expertise.

Heather L. Denehy, CPA- Managing Partner

Heather L. (Cockroft) Denehy graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts in 1997, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.  She was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Psi honor societies.

Heather became a certified public accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in September of 2000. Heather began working for Carmine Mastrogiovanni part time in 1993 while in college and continued to work on a part-time basis until 2007 when she joined him full time.  Heather’s first job out of college was with prestigious Arthur Andersen LLP in Boston in the High Technology Division of the Audit Division where she worked exclusively with small business clients.  There she participated in preparing companies for initial public offering on NASDAQ, a public debt offering and audit and review services for emerging growth companies.  Heather has also worked for two privately held, venture capitalist backed technology companies and two publically traded pharmaceutical companies in the Boston area, serving in management roles within the accounting and finance departments. 

Heather is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.

When Heather is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children at her home in North Reading, Massachusetts.

Justine L. Batchelder - Office Coordinator

Justine is our office coordinator. She handles all things administrative when it comes to the office at Heather L Denehy CPA PC. Her many responsibilities include being the keeper of Heather's calendar, client relations, handling all incoming and outgoing tax documents for processing, bookkeeping, and running the day-to-day activities of the office.

Justine began her professional career upon graduation from high school where she honed her impressive client centric skills. She worked in the Audiology department at the Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston and then went on to serve as a front desk administrator for an ophthalmology office in Malden. Additionally, she worked in an optical shop selling and repairing eyeglasses before advancing to an ophthalmic technician where she assisted in eye exams, postop care, and small procedures.

Justine’s favorite accomplishment while working at Heather L Denehy CPA PC is the relationships that she has built with our many long-time individual and business clients. Her ten-year anniversary with the company will be in the year 2024!

Justine’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband of 20-plus years, and her children Melody and Teddy. She also enjoys going to the gym and the beach and getting her hands dirty while gardening or painting.
